A Breezy Late Night Snack @ Welcome and Tastes

The school holiday season and Eid Holidays was just about over...and we needed a quick getaway from the city...So we took a spin up the hills, where else if it is not Genting Highlands? Owh well, except this time we did not go all the way up...we stopped at Gohtong Jaya instead (for those that does not know Gohtong Jaya, it is the foot of Genting Highlands, or perhaps the knee, haha!!)

It was a nice breezy night with some good on and off wind carrying a temperature of say 21 degree Celsius =)

Gohtong Jaya being famous for many eateries, as usual nearly every single shop/cafe/restaurant is crowded, yes even at wee hours...

Well, we pass by this rather new, nice and very clean looking place called Welcome and Tastes - Erm don't ask me where they got their name from, I don't know...but one thing I do know is that...the food are pretty good!! And reasonable I must say!! Just about your ordinary lower-end cafe in town ^.^

Don't need to trust me, see for yourself...

See..I told you it looks new and clean...it only started business about a month ago ^.^

Later in the evening they have tables and chairs outside- nicer ambience ^.^

The fried squid is good!! It's a rather big portion and it is only RM 16...Sorry, it was finished before I could say..WAIT!!

The authentic chinese dessert- Green Bean Dessert

Black Glutinous Rice Dessert with a hint of coconut milk, it was not over-done at all!!Yummeh!!

The evergreen chinese dessert: Soybean curd with barley and ginko nut...in other words 'foo chuk yee mai' ^.^

We were there at about 11pm,  and quite a few items were already finished- mainly deserts...I'll go again soon...^.^

The slight chilly weather made us a little hungry and ordered this...Wanton Noodles with stew mushroom chicken feet...for chicken feet lovers, this is *2 thumbs up*

Just had to order fried chicken wings haha!! This was one of the 3 pieces...erm same thing happened, it vanished before I could say WAIT...hahaha!!

3 pieces for RM 9.90, huge wings I must say...

I would say this is a place worth hanging out at, with family, friends or even as a couple, just to escape the concrete jungle for a bit...does not cost much either...I'm sure to return ^.^
